Advertiser disclosure
PayTheBursar may earn a commission from partners if you apply or buy through a link on this site.
Partners never affect the fee data and never affect what a school page says. A partner does not choose which schools are listed, which fees are published, or which payment method is called cheapest.
The fee table on a school page is ordered by the school's own extra cost. It is not ranked by payment. Sponsored modules sit outside that table.
Which links can pay a commission
Credible student-loan links use Commission Junction when a tracking URL is configured. GradGuard tuition-insurance links use impact.com when a tracking URL is configured. A refinance link and a credit-card link can be added the same way. Next to a tracking link, the page says: "We earn a commission if you apply through this link. It doesn't change our fee data." That sentence is shown only when the tracking URL is set. A link to a company's public page, with no tracking URL, does not pay a commission and does not carry that sentence.
Use grants and federal aid before you consider a private loan. A partner link is not a way to pay this term's bursar bill. Read payment plans versus loans and the privacy policy for what a click shares with the partner's network.
